About the Client

Our client is a leading regional public health service in Northern Victoria, delivering high-quality maternity care to a large and growing community. Their modern Maternity Unit supports approximately 1,000 births per year and offers a truly broad scope of practice across antenatal, birthing and postnatal services.

They are known for their strong culture of teamwork, learning, inclusivity and clinical excellence, and for investing heavily in staff development and wellbeing.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife to join a well-resourced and supportive maternity team. You will rotate through a variety of areas including birth suite (including water births), antenatal and postnatal wards, special care nursery, early pregnancy and antenatal clinics, domiciliary postnatal care, breastfeeding and education services, and midwifery group practice.

You will provide safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of midwives, obstetricians, paediatricians and nurses.

What You’ll Need

Essential requirements include current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife (dual-registered preferred), a minimum of 12 months post-graduate midwifery experience, strong clinical skills across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, excellent communication and documentation skills, the ability to work effectively within a team environment, and full immunisation with required pre-employment checks.

Desirable experience includes special care nursery exposure, completion of a Graduate Midwifery Program, and previous rural or regional maternity experience.

Why This Role Stands Out

You will receive a competitive public health salary with full salary packaging benefits, relocation assistance up to $8,000 for eligible candidates, and subsidised accommodation during your initial relocation period.

The service offers flexible rosters, genuine work-life balance, ongoing professional development and education support, paid parental leave, employee wellbeing programs and EAP access, and a supportive leadership team with a strong clinical culture.

Suitable for those overseas looking to make the move to Australia!

Additional Relocation Support

Eligible relocating candidates will also receive access to a dedicated concierge service to assist with securing suitable housing, schooling and local settlement support. This personalised service helps streamline the transition for individuals and families moving to the region, providing tailored guidance on rentals, property options, school placements and community integration.
